The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons rates PRP for knee arthritis as limited evidence: it may reduce pain and improve function, and the studies disagree. A 2021 trial of 288 people found no difference from a saline shot at 12 months. Tendon studies are mixed. We tell you this before you pay, so you decide with the whole picture.
The machines that prepare PRP are FDA-cleared. Injecting it into joints and tendons is off-label. That is legal and common, and it still means the FDA has not approved it for that use.
